My 30th birthday was kind of dark for me. One moment I was young with limitless opportunities and next I know I'm the infamous 30. An age often categorized by success. Apparently, your so supposed to be married, and whatnot. Seriously don't rush marriage people. I almost ended up with the wrong person. What a game-changer that would've been.
If that wasn't bad enough, I allowed people to pressure me into going to college, before I was ready. This resulted in bad grades and financial aid backlash. Now I owe a school thousands of dollars. Not a good situation to be in. Especially if your poor as I am.
Naturally, I spent half a decade wallowing in self-pity. The other half of it was spent procrastinating. Guess I got caught up in surviving, rather than thriving. To be fair I did have a run-in with a narcissist, as well a couple of near-death experiences. Such great fun.
Here I am now rising like a phoenix from the ashes. I plan to achieve great things with this life. What those things are is a mystery. Who will I marry? How many cats will I adopt? Is immortality forever out of my reach? Will my nacho craving go unfulfilled? Only time will tell.
